Two young men dead in ATV crash near Clearwater, B.C.

Two men are dead after crashing their all-terrain vehicle near Clearwater, B.C. early Saturday.
Emergency crews were called out to a forest service road about four kilometres from Clearwater at about 1 a.m. on a report of the accident involving two men.
Police, ambulance crews, highway rescue and the fire department went to the scene but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Early indications suggest the driver lost control on a slippery, snow-covered corner, sending the ATV and both its riders off the road and down a steep embankment.
The victims are a 19-year-old from Clearwater and a 22-year-old who was working in the area.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP are investigating.

k well i have the inside scoop on what happened...it was about 12:45 pm friday 14 and the 2 boys went on a quad ride...they were at a party..it had been about an hour and the owner of the quad decides to go looking and he sees some tracks off the road and he looks over and there the two boys were...the inbankment was about 7 feet high and the one boy jeremy had his helmet on but he had tooken it off cause he didnt die instantly..the other boy had hit a rock wihth his head and broke his neck and died instantly...

the boys that died were really good friends of mine. Jeremy was my cousin and Joey was a good girl friends of mine's boyfriend. The funeral's were both very nice! church's were both full! i came home to clearwater from edmonton to be there for my friends and family. jeremy was amazing. he was the only person that i let ride my sled. and joey was a fun friend. fun times at adams with all the friends including joey and jeremy. miss u guys...
