One severely injured and one didn't survive, that's all I know at the moment. The slide happened at Beaver creek apparently.

You come up from the Hwy and then travel the east side of the ridge .
You can see all the bowls .
Dangerous place in wrong conditions.

It’s not a place where you go when it’s socked in.
To the west of the riding area are sharp cliffs. To the east, just as bad.
It’s a steep and deep area.

Never like hearing about things like this but I'm also curious with sled sales at all time highs how many new people are going to be out on the mountains this winter. Most without any experience or training. Not saying this was the case in this event but more a general assumption.

I have the same fears...... hopefully not, and hopefully its a good stable snowpack year.

He was not a new rider, it was a horrible weekend for slide activity, slides were reported from PK all the way into Hassler.

Condolences to his family it was an unfortunate accident.
