Warranty is thirty feet or seconds from front door, but if you have a good running kit, you really don’t need the other.. impulse going on 5 years trouble free, aero took a few rods, but dealer was stellar, redline been a bullet so far, now that BRP got a 175 on new doo turbo and upgraded skid it will work fine for masses, but aftermarket will take it to where it should be shortly..

if you remember I had warranty on stock 850 motor that went down and took 6 weeks to get back, aftermarket can be fixed by weekend.. cheers

Apparently Fred had some issues by the posts but a lot of the new turbos run hassle free.
With Doo raising the bar it is a matter of how much power you want, how much risk you want and how much you want to spend.
The Doo is for sure the safe route, aftermarket still holds the power advantage.
All are big $$, $$$.
Just do a $/km and see what you get - $6 just for depreciation.

Once there is a second OEM turbo and 180hp is attained the aftermarket will mostly fade away.:twocents:
Aftermarket will always be there.
Never in the history of anything motorized has someone not wanted better than stock.

And we better all hope these aftermarket companies stick around or who else would drive all the cool r&d for the big 3 to steal from?

Chris for the last 7 years you have talked about a Doo and haven't pulled the string. I highly doubt you are thinking about it now. Lol

Didn't say I would. I asked if it will bring down the value of N/A models of all brands. I do think the Doo's have come a long way but just not in the direction that I need right now. I rode Doo for 30 years and loved them before switching in 2013.

What direction do you go? Down or across? Certainly not up LOL

Why does USA get 4 year coverage and Canada only get 3 year on a snowcheck.
Two year both countries from what I understand. You have to buy the 3rd year.

Don't think they will put out a 4 year warranty till they have some competitors in the segment. Or they get some statistics from a couple years of consumer testing.

Additional coverage for the third year is in the $2000 range. IMHO it's not worth it, like anything, most issues will show themselves early and this setup seems bulletproof so far. Unless your a 3000+ km/year rider I think the two year is sufficient. Happy snowchecking and if anyone is shopping for a dealer to snowcheck through in Central AB, PM me or call Jenna at Gateway Sales in Rocky Mountain house 403-845-2421 for the best prices around and great service.

Im still curious as to why the warranty is not the same for the 850T and the 850NA.
Both sleds are 165hp. Wouldn’t it be in BRP’s best interest to have the warranty the same??
Some may think its not needed, but when it comes to resale whats more attractive?. A turbo sled with no warranty after two years at a resale vale of 16-17000. Thats depending on condition and mileage, or a NA sled with 2 more years left on its BEST warranty, for 12/13000.
Im basing my numbers on Kijiji ads.

What's brp scared of not having it the same as a regular 850 expert??

You can buy a chev cruise with a 4 cylinder n. A and a boosted one too

Same warranty for both engines
