Check engine P1471

do with the raves. But not sure if that’s relevant since it’s from XP’s and Xms.
Anyone got any ideas what that code is?

it’s on a 2017 850. I have a nice new engine wiring harness waiting to be installed, perhaps it’s time to do that.

I called a few dealers and most had never stocked the rave position sensor for these sleds, so maybe the sensors don’t fail, but more likely the crappy wiring harness. So I went ahead and did the terrible task of changing out that harness. Hopefully that helped.
I’ll post up if that cured it after my next ride.

Well I had the typical injector zip tie chafe, I fixed that, then I had a broken wire down inside the connector for the coolant temp sensor, I fixed that. Then the very next ride the issue I posted about happened so I said screw it no more searching for wires I’m just changing them all. So to answer your question I didn’t find the wire that led to the p1471.
As for changing out the harness, I pulled the motor so I could get the harness off, it’s tucked so tight around the block I didn’t see any other way to do it.
