Tried the fuel screw adjustment. The two carbs were already sync'd at 1 1/2 turns. I tried them 1 turn and 1/2 a turn and it still ran poorly (back firing and idleling poorly) We also tried adjusting the needle position it still acted up doing the same thing.
Is there any one familiar with...
I aggree with the letter 100%.
One of our countries biggest problems is that hundreds of illegal refugees are entering the country every day (In toronto). They come to the country with no ID claim refugee status and our government gives them money to settle in and get jobs so they can earn...
It could just be fouled plugs! Sometimes the engine will run fine and the next time you shut it off it will not restart until you change the plugs. It has happened to me on a few occasions. If the plugs are fouled you will not get a spark etc...
The sled was bought used so it is possilbe that the carb is not set up properly I guess. Thus far we have assumed that everything is set correctly which can be a bad assumption! I will try the fuel screw and the position of the jet needle.
They quit making personal watercraft a few years back so anything is possible!
It doesn't make sense that they would invest in a new design for only one year. something is wrong with that rumor...
We took the carbs off and checked the boots and reeds. Both the boots and reeds appear to be fine. We cleaned the carbs a third time. The plugs are also a nice tan color as well. Unfortunately it is still acting up. When the engine is at room temp it runs perfectly... It is only happens when it...

If they are insured you probably don't want to recover them anyway...
My friends Polaris Edge 600 XC is not idling properly. When you rev the engine the RPM increases and as you let off the RPM drops to ~3000RPM quickly and then stuters for a while and back fires as it eventually drops down to a more regular idol of 1000 - 1500RPM give or take. At higher RPM while...
Does anyone know where the vacuum ports are to sync carbs on the Polaris Edge 600 XC? I assume they are on the carb somewhere but I can't seam find them...
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Are you sure Bombarier was the first to develop this? Honda and Yamaha started putting variable exhaust valves on 2-stroke engines in moto-cross bikes back in the late 80's...
I have only ever herd the exhaust vavles reffered to as "variable exhaust valves" or "Power Valves" I have never herd anyone refer to them as RAVE valves before.... It must be a term one sled manufactures uses.
Now it makes sense why the guys were talking about shaving them! I was thinking to...
