Last year there was a survey going around to stop the helicopter expansion of Mike Wiggles operations and limit sledding in a certain area. I never did hear how that turned out so if anyone has a link to that conversation.
thank you for that info it makes sense as I was also going very slowly and could have hit a small rock that caused the front wheels to go back and forth and then the machine tipped. Did get a separated shoulder out of it. I recommend the crowsnest pass hospital if you get hurt in that area. They...
With a 2012 Yamaha Kodiak 450 with power steering was out last weekend and buddy was driving down a moderate hill and the machine flipped on him. He claimed there was a rock that made him flip but I could not see it. So we winched it back on its wheels and I drove it up the hill to turn it...
Many years ago before the Island Lake Lodge development some of us would go back country skiing in the area. After the development started we were told it was all for snow cat skiing and we could no longer go there. It seems in B.C. you can buy an area and keep it all for yourself and you...
Had the same problem on my 2005 Kodiak and was worse on hot days. goggle said it was from gas in the tank boiling so i cut some more breather holes around tank cowling to help tank cool off. I still get a small amount of boiling if the machine gets too hot.
It is time for the opposition parties to throw away their own personnel agendas and get on with saving Alberta from Green Peace. I thought the conservatives would have learned in the last election that you can get to arrogant and nobody will vote for you
Was reading on the AO forum that there will be an announcement tomorrow Jan. 20 , 2017 in Pincher Creek at 11 a.m. on the plans for the future of the Castle. it seems like almost a secret meeting place to make the announcement but then that is our government.
Turning that area into a park will affect other users beside the motor crowd. They have already made it more difficult to go pick huckleberries by taking out the bridge at the skihill. Now only people with quads or sidebysides can head into the middle kootenay pass area. Some say walk but it...
They were logging up the Atlas in November and had the road plowed. I watched loaded logging trucks coming down the Atlas. It could have been loggers going to check out their site if they were not finished or forestry checking the logging plots.
The driver has to be careful as the dog can bounce out. I came around a corner once and another guy was coming the other way and I had to hit the ditch. The lab bounced out and landed on his head. I now have a box that is high in the back but open in the front and he likes to wrap his body...
They are trying to stop guys from pulling camper trailers into the area. I heard but do not know if it is true that they had one section blocked off last year and someone showed up with a bobcat and opened it up.
I have the biased ply mud lites on my 2005 Yamaha Kodiak and this weekend first ride on Friday riding some rocky gullies I tore one of the lugs off of a back tire. For anyone who rode the Atlas last weekend and stopped to try and blow my tire up with their electric compressor it was not the...
When I was on vista I had no problem emailing pictures from photobucket but when I bought a new computer with windows 7 and goggle chrome I could no longer email pictures from photobucket. I can email pictures from my pictures file on the computer. So I upgraded to windows 10 and google chrome...
I see some shops doing counter balancing where they will have weights at more than one location on one side of a rim. Years ago I was told to never counter balance when you are installing weights. Has anyone had any experience with this theory?
A few years ago we were told that if you take someone out and there is a problem then the most experienced person could be held responsible. I know that if you lead a trip as a volunteer for the Calgary section of the Alpine Club of Canada all people that go on the trip have to sign a waiver...
Just had my five year old lab who was lame see the vet and had his front legs and shoulders x rayed. He has what is called jump down syndrome. He has arthritis in his right front elbow. This was probably caused by me letting him jump off the seat of the pickup to the ground or off the back...
with the way I see enclosed trailers blowing over on highway 22 down by Lundbreck I think for me I would just get a flat deck. Last weekend I saw two semi's blown over and one dodge pulling an enclosed trailer on it's side.
