    Back to the radio shop.

I heard through the grapewine that BC is adding more RR channels. Looks like the Vertex has to go back in, AGAIN, for programming.

    Snow in Butte, Montana.

Just got back from a trip to Arizona. Trailered the Harley down to Arizona to ride with the brother-in-law and two other friends. Drove back through 6 inches of snow on the Continental Divide just south of Butte. Best of both worlds for me. The ride in the Tri-State area was great with 37C temp.

    Snowtech

Well, I got my first issue of Snowtech magazine over the weekend. With that and the upcoming sled show in Edmonton, I'm starting to get the itch. I also saw on the Weather Channel that Timmins has had snow. Can't wait.

    Hood deep snow.

So the boss comes into the lunchroom today and says that the guys who live out of town better leave because the roads are being closed. After a long trip home and nothing to do, I think this would be a good time to go for a ride. The light was a little flat making it tought to see. The snow in...

    Christmas ride.

The wife and I just got back from two weeks in Arizona. I trailered the Harley down there and rode a little over a 1000 miles. Loved every minute of it. I don't know how to resize the pictures to make them smaller. I will post them when I figure that out.

    Suddenly bikeless.

Sold my old RZ500 yesterday to a young fellow who has wanted one for a long time. The Harley is down at the dealership waiting on the decision if it is a write-off. Is it ever strange to have no bikes where there should be two. The KingCat is getting lonesome out there. I had the Yam for almost...

    Made the 6 o'clock news.

Coming home from work on Friday afternoon, I was the unlucky fellow who got rearended by a Chevy pickup on the Yellowhead. Worst thing is that I was on my Harley. I came out of it not too bad with a knee the size of a watermelon, but no broken bones. Looks like the bike will be a write-off...

    I finally bought a Harley.

After many years of playing with bikes, I picked up my first Harley. Decided that it had to be an XR 1200. Always liked the old dirt tracker from the 70's. I was told that the 12's were sold out for the year. There was a slightly used 2010 sitting on the floor. Only had 1200 km on it and a 10K...

    Right side bog.

I have had this old Cat now for 3 seasons and love it. It had the infamous right side sputter in deep powder. When carving to the right side it would misfire after a few seconds. I used silicone around the exhaust oulet in the body pan and that helped a little. I made a plastic cover for the air...

    Lack of snow.

The wife and I just got back from our 2 week road trip to Nevada. There is a severe shortage of snow all the way to Arizona. Saw one poor fellow in Salt Lake City. He had Alberta plates on his truck and a sled in the box. I thought about taking the sled south with me and I'm glad I didn't. It...

    Powder King.

Was out yesterday. 5 feet of powder. It was a stuckfest. Did 6 km the whole day.

    Type of plastic.

Does anybody on here know what type of plastic the bellypan of my 01 Summit is made of? I purchased an airless plastic welder and plan on repairing some small cracks. I know the hood is RRIM and I have the rod for that. When I attack this project I will post pictures.

Getting ready to go and pick up Ardypol and head down to Elkford. One week of hopefully powder heaven. See Y'all there.

Man, they build those Cats tough.

Finally got some snow around the house and decided to do a ditch ride. Not something I do a lot of. Headed east out of town towards Calahoo and had a great time busting through the drifts and climbing the little hills. On the way back home after a couple of hours, I come to what looks like a...

    First post.

Well, I guess I'll go first. Still riding it and still like it. A little soft on power compared to my 900 Kitty. It will be getting a rebuild in the off season and a 153 3 inch pitch Challenger. Could still be 10 more years in the old girl.

3 inch pitch drivers on ZX.

I have a couple of 3 inch pitch tracks laying around. A 153 and a 162. Has any one here changed the drivers to 7x3 and how did it work? Both tracks are 2.5 lugs.

    Snow tires in BC.

I have heard a rumour that BC will be enforcing a snow tire only law on their highways this year. Quebec started this a few years ago. Does anybody have any info on this?

    New hobby ??

The wife and myself just got back from 10 days in the blistering heat of southern Nevada. Just for kicks I rent a Yamaha Waverunner for a day on the Colorado River. I could not believe how much it felt like riding a sled. Looks like I might have found a new hobby.
