We where there Thursday from the BC side, didnt stay the night. There was a group that had just arrived from the Alberta side, they where having to clean up after someone else.

Went in for a recce yesterday.
l didnt go in all the way to the park, there is about a foot or so of snow on the trail that has settled, at the time there had been a couple of trucks in before me, so if you drive in snowchains would be a smart move.

Rode out toward SE of Kakwa Via Sheep Pass from the Morkill ( BC side) on Saturday. Got about 35km in,deep snow, needed long tracks or wait until the snow sets up abit.
Will be trying the Walker Creek way in around the 23rd 24th Jan.
You can also get into Kakwa from the Walker Creek Road which is approx 65km West of McBride on highway 16, turn right (north) drive approx 12km down the Walker Creek Road, sometimes the road is cleared further, but its best to figure it wont be.
