Thanks for the tips guys, did try all that with no success. But after much trouble shooting and wire chasing, success finally. It was a broken ground wire of all things.
I had to recently replace the battery in my KQ I did one short run and plowed the drive way with it. I went to go plow the other night and ran into an issue. Every time I go to use the plow it kills my machine. The only way to get it to start is to hook up the charger, after it starts it runs...
Well this week end was the first real trial for my machine. Mud, dust, streams and a couple deep holes and muskeg. I am soooooo snorkeling my machine, already have it ordered. looking into exhaust snorkel as well, my issue was the cvt.
The guys are right sometimes way cheaper to just buy new. When ports fail it usually (not always But) means replacing the mother board. and depending on the age of the machine it can make it hard to find parts. I worked at staples for a few years as a tech, and if you have one handy they can...
Well today I dropped my quad off at T&T so the boys could install a new EPI clutch kit and ordered a copperhead ECU. Can't wait to see how much kick it gives.
Yes you will have to map the copper head for the bigger ejector. Also recommend a clutch kit to handle the torque. The boys at T&T in bonneyville bring in the copperhead and bigger injector already pre mapped.
The only thing to add is ask yourself what you want to do with your next machine. The Mac Book pro is fast more versitile and has a built in disc drive, with the air you will have to buy an external. Also the Pro is way more durable just some tid bits to think about. Also the air does not have...
I mentioned this in another post but thought this info might apply here as well. Not only can you chip and and port and clutch the KQ you can also add a new injector. One from the 1800 street bike is a direct fit to the KQ. also here is a link for skid plate also discovered richochet skid...
Well being a newby to this sport I maybe way off base but the only thing I can add is, if money is no object check out the blackline plows amazing kit. Hyd lift and has optional hyd angle as well. Found these plows while researching one to buy myself.
In all honesty first thing is to dump 360 it aresourcehog. and being on an older machine and if not much ram even worse. also even though not that great run defrag and disc clean. Also remove any and all software that you dont use it. just a few ideas.
