I'm scratching my head a little here... normally when I fired up my 07 m8 in the past the headlights would come on very shortly after the sled started running. As of this weekend, the headlights don't turn on right away. I timed it and it now takes 35 seconds after the sled starts.
The wrench...
Is there a way to read engine codes on a 2008 800XP without taking it to the dealer? The check engine light flashes 4 times along with 4 simultaneous beeps. This happens frequently while riding the sled. It still runs fine down low even though it is beeping but once you reach higher elevations...
So I removed the rear skid on my 2007 M8 to do a track swap. I got the track in, diamond drive, brakes and the 2 front bolts for the skid all bolted up. Now I'm having trouble getting the rear 2 bolt holes to line up with the brackets on the tunnel . I need the mounting point on the...
Help me spend my money!
I'm riding a 2007 M8 153 with BDX intake, The Thing can and Speedwerx y-pipe. I'm looking to do a little work to my sled this fall and am thinking of either putting on a 153" x 2.5" Camo Extreme track or the SLP single pipe kit. Who has tried these mods and what do you...
This might belong in a different section but I figured since Cats use so many torx fasteners, you guys might know...
Who makes decent torx bits? I'm sick of breaking mine all the time! I cheaped out and bought Power Fist at first. Broke a bunch of bits. Tried some Stanley stuff but it isn't...
Anyone put a stock 2010 M8 head on a 2007 M8 motor? How well did it work?
With the higher compression, do I need a fuel controller? Currently I'm running a y-pipe, can and BDX intake.
So its time for a new steering post for my M8 (bent mine). Just debating whether I should go with a stock post or try to find something a little stronger. Mine is an 07 and I hear the 08 and up are built a little heavier so that may be enough.
Are any of you running chromoly steering posts? I...
I did some reading on here but still haven't been able to figure out the problem...
I'm working on a 2006 M7 and it won't hold rpm above about 6600. With the sled on a track stand I open it up and it will usually rev up to 8000, the power valves open up and then the motor bogs down to below...
Anybody remove the aluminum covers and insulation from their stock pipes? Is the insulation there for noise reduction only or is it there to hold heat in the pipe?
I'm assuming that this is where aftermarket pipes are saving weight.
Hey guys,
I recently purchased a used m8 and both clutches have some pretty good scratches in the sheaves. I'm not sure how the guy scratched them, it looks like some gravel run through it or something...
I'm not worried that they will blow apart on me, but it might eat belts...
