    2016 M8000 tether install

I'll have to rip it apart again and see wtf is going on! Was hoping someone would just pipe in and say something simple to fix this thing. Just can't figure out why a tether wouldn't just be a stock item.

    2016 M8000 tether install

Ok...now I'm totally baffled! Got it all back together following all of the instructions to a fault...fired up the sled...pulled the tether and nothing. Even the kill switch is now disabled...any ideas?

    2016 M8000 tether install

Wow...finally got the fricken things out. Had to flatten out the end of paper clip with a hammer and pulled out the white insert that retains all of the wires. You just have to make sure not to move the connector around too much. A small size note....drill your hole as close to the edge while...

    2016 M8000 tether install

Ok...I'm tapping out on this Arctic Cat tether install. I've been trying for two hours to get the pins out of the harness connector and no luck. Tried the paper clip...bobby pin and still not releasing. Is there something else holding this wire to the connector that I can't see? It's bad enough...

    Chatter Creek Road

Good point Mark...it's one thing to go up there and use all of the access trails cut in by Chatter Creek lodge and not pay a dime. It's another thing to use all of their parking lot (which they maintain) and the people that support them are left scrambling for parking.

Has the time come for mandatory AST training and equipment?

What the backcountry heli-skiers are doing is going up with people who are TRAINED to recognize hazards. I can't be certain of this but I'm nearly 100% sure that this training would be regulated by the gov't in some way. Ive noticed quite a few comments about how guys will "quit" riding if they...

Has the time come for mandatory AST training and equipment?

Absolutely...I've said for the past few years that a avy course should be mandatory to ride in the mountains. I found after I took my first course many years ago...that my awareness to snow conditions changed 100% Your riding style goes from offence to defence automatically...and that's a good...

    Back country etiquette

I totally agree...groups no matter how small or large should stick together. I made the colossal mistake of going down alone assuming everything would be 100% and never once thought my primary clutch would bind up! The point I'm getting at is...if you spot someone alone in distress or not...take...

    Back country etiquette

That goes without saying...I'm talking about the stranger that got separated from his herd! This weekend in the Renshaw I had a few guys approach me to ask if I'd seen their buddies and sadly that guy was usually the less experienced one and fell behind a bit. That's the guy you have either join...
