Yes I did roll it. I got it up really quick but I never thought to check the airbox as I didn't know the vent was routed into the airbox. Thanks for the help.
My quad is a 2005 500 EFI Polaris. Recently I took my air filter out to clean it and found a fair amount of oil in the air filter box. Not a spray but an actual pool of oil. I looked at my oil level and it was down but not very much. There seemed to be a fair bit of oil in the box. I cleaned it...
Hi Buzz, long time no talk to. How have things been with you? I haven't been riding much this year as I have had to go back on the road due to the recession. Not a lot of work, so I went back to heavy haul. I just got back from Texas and heard about Brandon. I'm going to take a shot in the dark...
We make it a point to clean up what the uncaring leave behind. My wife and her buddy collect all the bottles and cans we find on our rides and we use them for our beer college money. Spent an hour at one site doing a cleanup that the day before had been spotless. On an interesting note we had to...
The title pretty much says it all. I am looking for a portable GPS that I can buy (new). I have a nasty habit of not watching the trail as well as I should and get turned around sometimes. We are in a new area in the Crow that I am not familiar with and I have gotten turned around a few times...
I drowned my CRF250X bike a few years ago. I went through what I thought was a puddle and turned out to be 4 feet deep. I fell off the bike before I could hit the kill switch. It was brand friggn new and only had about 10 hours on it. Total damage was over $4000.00. I thought I was gonna cry.
I use ratchet straps also. Because I am into trucking I shop at places like Fort Garry Industries, Fleet Brake, Mayers, and Traction. If you spend a bit more money and get the ratchet straps we use in trucking you have a sturdy reliable strap with a strong ratchet winch. We have used the ones...
I own a trucking company. My tractor gets 6.5 MPG. That is an interesting idea you have but you also have to factor in the cost of a trailer that can haul the sleds. If you had a dedicated group and maybe developed a membership or something along that line it might fly.
So with the prices of fuel going upwards and onwards, I wonder how many of us have changed or are planning to change our holiday travel arrangements. I know we will be sticking closer to home this summer. Suggestions and comments are more than welcome.:canadaflag:
Actuall we kind of figured out the beer can issue. If you toss the can after you drink it you leave the evidence behind. We pick up beer cans in the damndest places when we quad. We got inspected by fish and feathers one year and he asked us if the beer cans were ours that we had drunk. We told...
I have to agree with sumx54. From what we have seen of our gov't they will use the licensing system to punish those that are registered, insured and licensed. The excuses will range from (you) ATV riders have cost the taxpayers a lot of money, so to recoup, fees will go up almost every year...
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it is also grad weekend. I personally believe that the govt should make the May long a no booze weekend. Out south of Calgary we have the grads going into the hills for the May long and they just get pukeyed sh%^faced. Then they do the stupidest...
I bought my son a 2004 TTR125 new in 04. It was a great investment. The bike has a ton of power, rides nicely, and just goes anywhere. We got his with the smaller wheels which was a mistake. We had bought the bike in August and even with the smaller wheels he couldn't touch the ground properly...
