On the 22nd there was 2ft of fresh on the trail up the burn that had been broke the day before, the top had up to 3ft of fresh with old tracks half way to the first bowl. It was a good day to burn fuel as the engine's never got a chance to rest. Once this snow sets up things should be good...
Rode up yesterday, trail was OK but still a little rough on parts of the last 14k. The burn is shaping up quite nice and stumps are almost all covered. Snow conditions were perfect and deep, went to the half pipe near the back and spent a fair bit of time punching trail up the two chutes...
Went up on sunday, pass lake and torpy road are good, still unloading at 12km. The burn was good other than a few regular icy stetches on the lower half, top half has enough to get off the beaten path but watch out for a few random stumps, the main track up was well packed and pretty easy going...
Not last weekend, but a couple of us are going friday or saturday. Mcbride got some decent snow in the last couple weeks so odds are the torpy did too.
Went in friday and the snow was the same as 10 days ago other than it had set up into what will be a good base. We made it most of the way into the back but the last chute still had too many visible land mines. Good day, no carnage and we'll try again next run.
