Was up at kakwa lake again today and there's less snow than there was. the rain and warm weather knocked it down. There was some snow moving in. Hopefully it dumps huge otherwise it will be in the new year that we can start sledding out there. There were 2 sleds at the cabin. I bet that wasn't a...
I have taken one out on a 2013 etec. also have a friend that did the same thing. I did it right after turning up the boost but I did have signs of detonation on the piston. My theory is not of torque but that the piston got tight on the cylinder wall. Anyway I replaced the motor and put the...
we run 5 watt VHF radios with in helmet speakers and mic. With this setup there is no need to shut off your sled to hear and the sound quality is second to none. we do have shoulder mics also that we give to the guys that don't have the helmet kit installed but they can't hear unless they shut...
I figured that was you guys. definitely the least amount of snow I've seen in there. we looked down Broadview and cecille and through paradise and the snow was lacking everywhere. I was planning on taking my son next weekend for his birthday but we may have to go somewhere else.
Don't get all hung up on dry weight. Theres a lot more to the equation. If you don't believe me try to follow a stock 174T3 with a good pilot on your stock anything. I have seen a lot of polaris' being pulled out last year because of the dry weight. (not enough meat on their hollow bones). I am...
I would look at the pistons. common turbo mistake is not having the proper octane level. detonation leads to a piston deteriorating which squeeks the cylinder wall. The rod will fail when the piston doesn't slide freely. I don't think the crank or base gaskets are the problem. I did this and a...
we use the snowmobile kit from ruggedradios.com , they work amazing, never getting the radio out of your pocket or wondering if the other guy has stopped to listen for you.
I run aerocharger. I will be running it again this year. If properly setup I wouldn't worry about missing riding days. I seen more stock polaris' wreck a day, but that's a different thread!
I've done both also and there is no comparison. Boosted all the way. As for brand, sounds like many good ones to choose. I have had 7000kms on an aerocharger kit at 9lbs and absolutely love it. I would go with them again. just my 2cents tho.
You won't have to work the bugs out on an aerocharger kit. Install is easy if your mechanical and they have all clutching and gearing needed. set the controller once and off you go for the year. I have 4800kms on my 13xm.
Did you purchase a used kit and have them install it? just looking at some of your old posts you said that the turbo got pieces of the previous motor thru it.
