Wondering if anybody has had good success, with diy boxliner spray coatings. Too many projects to take in. Want to do some bumpers, trailers fronts etc.
If so what did you use and any tips?

U can buy low pressure guns fairly cheap. I picked up a kit a few years ago for $2300. It come with enough product and supplies to spray 10 long boxes. Works great one tip I have is prime bare metal first after a few years rust will come through the liner as it is prose. If I scrub it with the car wash brush it goes away for a few months tho.

I'd stay away from canadiantire brands and such. I'd go with Al's liner or raptor liner for a diy kit. Iv tried hurculiner, very rough coarse surface and my kit didn't come with the UV additive and faded after the first year.

Did hippo liner in my truck. Turned out pretty good but took 2 kits to do a 6.5' box and still isn't as thick as I'd like. Has a very hard finish which might be nice for bumpers and things but lets stuff slide around the box more than I would like. I have smoking pricing at the parts store but if I had paid full price for it I wouldn't be very impressed.

I've used Raptor Liner with reasonable results. It doesn't seem to fade that quick in the sun and goes on with a decent texture. It is a 2 part mix so doesn't come off with gas or most other solvents like the cheap Canadian Tire stuff. But like has been said before make sure it has at least a primed surface to go over top of, and make sure any paint it goes over has been roughed up to adhere to. That seems to be my biggest issue with raptor liner is having it flake off from improper surface prep.

But I have yet to find a product that beats Linex in durability.
