This will be another year of stolen trucks, trailers, and sleds.

Time for each of us too put a kink in the system.

Putting in a hidden shut down switch is one frugal way to prevent the truck from going anywhere. $15 to $20 of hidden switch and wire tied in on the starter wire harness stops the unit from going any where. Takes 1 hour too install.

Trailer needs an alarm system that is hard to get at that slows the clowns down.
Loud out side of the trailer, and 7 X's louder in side.
Good system from $300 to $500 will alert all with in 1 km that something is going on.

If this missing stuff went on last year and the many years before, then it's the matter of time that it will happen alot this year.

Take the time all too LOCK IT OR LOOSE IT since these clowns are lined up waiting to fill there boots.

I'd post pictures of my home made system, but Lapp top is down.

Easy to slow this stuff down and keep the honest in there place.

Only takes one too wreck our outtings, so time to make them think it ain't worth the effort.

Sure hope everyone takes the time to help us all scare the crap out of the next door handle flipper.

was thinking Don, the would be ford thief would have a heart attack when you popped up from the back seat, as he started to drive the 2x4 ford down the trail. or they just might think there was a lion in the back seat, what with all the snoring coming from the cab.;)

I agree, it's crazy out there across Canada, and if we only knew the half of it that goes on every night.

If "we" don't find ways to curb this activity, then we are kinda setting our selves up to.

If our nabours up and down our streets take note of this, and our brothers and sisters in the recreation departments, then it will "hopefully" slow this hot handed clowns down.

Just about every construction company down our way has been hit 2 or 3 times at different job sites, and my pal put the run on 2 of these clowns in a stolen truck.

Time has come for us too bunch up with ways to a dint in this activities.

We all have waited to long, now is the time to step up our game plan as the clowns might hit the wrong truck or trailer that's alarmed to the teeth as it prevents them from getting others beside us.

All win win as we pass this lock it or loose it idea to all.

If it keeps going the way it is none of us are going to be able to afford insurance,,, this costs all of us in the long haul.

Hope too hear other frugal ways to limit access in the weeks ahead on how to keep my belongs and ideas too share with my pals.

I put the run on 1 dude from Hinton, 1 in Draton Valley, 1 in Red Deer well sleeping in my truck, all run like white tail Deer as I'm hot in pursuit. Ha.

All are lucky I'm a smoker and not that fast.

In the rural area I live , 95% have been robbed. If we leave equipment in the field they even steal the fuel out of it. Locked shops get broken into nightly. We are 45 min outside of Calgary, but it takes the RCMP two hours to respond because they are so short staffed. What's a person to do?

King Ralph had the best idea, maybe not for this particular problem but,

SHOOT, SHOVEL AND SHUT UP.

If if a few of these thieves quit making it back, they may start to think twice.

The he bleeding hearts of society think hugs and handouts will fix it, it's just made it worse.

Just had a few sleepless nights a while back.

My Pal parked his trailer out west for 3 weeks as I thought it would be a goner for sure, lucky it stayed put.

He 2 got nerves, so he brought it home, then some clowns came to take it from his back yard but never got the gate open that night... So gate alarm was set into motion knowing they'd be back.

The next night the alarms we're signing away at 2 am in the morning as gravel was flying from tires spinning fast as they made their get away "empty handed". Luck pal big hands didn't get a grapple on their necks, Ha.

Now his back yard is security Grande Central with a wish list if they come over the fence,,, one of those sorry about your luck deals as I never thought in a million years that those timbers and irons would topple over like that, LOL.

Crap happens you know.

Becareful all as these clowns are up to no good, and team up with nabours to let them know your on the watch and you have your stuff sorted.

We would hear that so and so had this stolen in the week or month, now it's daily as a whole column fills the page, and the radio reports 2 brake inns, 3 stolen autos, and all the other crap we don't hear about.

I was locked up long ago, now I'm doubling the system this week.

Can't even think how Dis-hartening it is for contractors that get to work as all their tools and equipment is gone.

Share and share ideas on lock up as its either us or our nabours that get it next.

Sad to think that the lock and key is a way of life.

People who think they are stealing because of something you did or forgot to do ..are just plain wrong. they are stealing because they want to

a lot are career criminals, lots are needing cash for drugs or debts to dealers etc.

lots just plain don't give a chiit, lots think you won't miss it, and the rest figure no consequences and will never get caught.
