I bought a cheap mower when we moved into our small house. Didn't realize how cheap until I changed oil today. There is no drain plug!! You have to tip it on it's side and take out the dipstick plug to drain the oil!!

Lawn mower and generator have clean, fresh oil! Snow blower next.

Dumped some Seafoam in the tank and ran it for a bit. Then, I removed the dirty air filter that you are not supposed to blow out and threw it on the bench so that I could buy a new one before spring. Chances are that it will just get blown clean again and re-installed in the spring.

With my zero maintenance plan, I changed the blade a couple months ago after seventeen years of use.
Bought it new, it's never had an oil change...started blowing the blues a few years ago.
Keeps the mosquitos away...

Haha i used to do that, i found the drain plug after digging through lots of crud. Undid that 3/8 socket plug and nothing came out but a ball of black oily thing that barely fit through that hole. I thought i never had the right drain hole. But i did. Fresh oil in and the crank went next mowing job.

I thought mine would have crapped out by now?
Add oil every other cut...sometimes diesel oil, straight fifty, 10/30, leftovers in the shed.
Nothin' fancy, 21", 6.5 horse Briggs push mower.

My costco lawn mower is so old now the whole deck has holes in it all over the place, it is getting dangerous to run. I use it for mowing down willows, what a difference changing oil makes in the life of a engine. Bought a new lawn mower the biggest engine i could find was a honda. I think that cost about 1300 bucks, do not even have to pull the oil drain plug on that one. 1/2 a liter of oil just pours out the add spout when i tip it over. One minute and the oil is changed.

I can’t believe how crappy things are made now, I had to change the head gasket on the lawn lol found out half the engine internals are made of plastic now, was really surprised by that, same when I opened up pressure washer after a cracked rocker arm…lots of plastic inside that motor too, the cam was even plastic and it’s a Honda

I can’t believe how many people change the oil in their mowers lol. I put good oil in when I buy it after breaking it in and just check it every 4-5 years lol

I moved it out of the way so that I can get to my snow blower. Will likely move it to the c can this weekend.

I bought her breakfast at White Spot the other day, other than that she just goes out and mowes every 3 or 4 days. Got her trained to cook and do dishes as well.
