Yeah , that could be Chris. , maybe we can learn from you. You’ve been invited . Best is Late August early September, water is cleaner

PS , we saw first hand the performance of that piranha before you bought it , that’s what I told you when you asked. The XD is a far superior boat in pretty well every aspect of performance , except pretty. If pretty is your main priority, that’s great. Hopefully the convict will work well .

We are all entitled to our own opinions on what we think and want for what we do with out boats Len and clearly you think the XD is a superior boat to others I can respect your option. I disagree lol to each his own. But i will start to take pics of all the big rocks we see from now on !!!

Wasn’t this about SJ’s ? Being light and tough being a better combination than heavy and tough to go into challenging areas. ?? Has kinda gotten to which name is better. Not my intention, take a XD and stick a bunch of weight in it and a heavier motor and pump , and I don’t think it’ll be superior.

Boats are just like sleds . Weight kills a boat the same way .
If you want all the luxury and comforts ? Get a SJ you will be very disappointed but if you’re like Chris or others that want all the luxury ? Get the bigger boat/power and pump .
I guess Chris has a new sled ?

And three boats are best !!

They’re putting them in the falcons. I seen a add. I bet they will but use the factory pump not a hammy or AT. Kingfisher is cookie cutter boats so a kit is easier to put in I would think. Bet that eco will work even better with the pump that was made for it.

Talked with kingfisher today. Not putting them in the XD yet but they have a new 9 stringer fast water that will have the EcoBoost with a AT309 this year.

I don't think its smart to put the SJ in a 2020 or any model going forward. Parts after 10 years might get tough to find on the jet side... motor should be okay as its similar to most merc V6.

Anyone have any experience with the new BRP crate engine and pump?

I don’t think the pump will take the abuse very good. Motor and stuff will be good. Hewes craft puts it in there boats, which work really good I here. But they are just cruising/ fishing boats.

The explorer jet with ecoboost looks pretty nice. At least the video they did with hole shot. Have seen them but never been in one.

That boat did get up and go good. No glass or floor in that video so it was crazy light. And explorer is a light boat already. Was going to buy one but they didn’t want to build it as tough as I wanted to. Dave and I aren’t friends now lol

I am liking the coyote as well but the price seems high for a unproven boat and builder. Bratt is nice and I'm happy to see outlaw had really stepped up their fit and finish game.

So many choices lol

Any thoughts on the cost to repower the XD with the EcoBoost and AT? Could I get some money back by selling the SJ?

One thing to remember with boat builders ?
A lot of them have worked together years ago and in behind the curtain they all chatter to one and other . Lol
Just because it’s a new name doesn’t mean it’s unproven?
They all build a good product and they are all different in different ways.
The magic is in the bottom’s and how they are built and things placed .
Everything above the water line is just lip stick .

I wouldn’t be scared to buy a coyote. Bet it would work good.

As far as repower a xd if you took it somewhere bet it’s 30-40g. Do it yourself around 20 I think I could do it for.

Just to clear this up, Robs dad Fred started eagle... Rob started Bratt... Rob owns Coyote lol I would not say unproven.
