As a Doo shareholder I am pleased with my return with BRP. I got in at $19.00 ish in early '16 and unloaded my shares last Aug at just over $70.00. That adds up to a couple G4's or possible G5's in my future. ;) Back on the cracking/ breaking cat mono rail failure thread.

I refuse to support Quebec.. Simple.

Now back to rail issue ... just follow Dayton Shuflita ... this crazy MF has over 1400 miles on his Alpha in Revy. If any should be broke it’s his. This guy has more airtime than track in snow time. Just saying.

What lenghth of sled deck? I know my 7ft deck is hard on front skid shocks and that area of that skid when traveling ****$y rough roads, actually piled up the front skid shock in my 2012 proclimb from to many spring miles on the deck.

Long box deck. Sled has decent support under the skid with the end of the deck being just ahead of the rearmost suspension mount (bad angle on the pic only one I could find). The rear suspension has to squish together over bumps. Buddy has the same sled rode with every ride but one with no issues (similar rider weight, he has few more miles on his, very similar riding styles). I believe mine bottomed out at some point and cracked the rail behind the front shock mount. Trouble is I don't remember bottoming hard so I don't know what did it. I had some soft bottoming through the moguls on the way out on that ride before it broke. Nothing that would make me even think to check the skid for damage. I would suggest everyone inspect the rail for cracks and set track tension before every ride (takes 5 minutes to do both not a big deal). Also I would run the fts up around 60 psi until we are sure that is not the reason.

On a side note this is the easiest sled on my body I have ever had by far. My back, legs and shoulders are loving it! Sleddeck.PNG

Ya, here's a good Pic of him years ago when he was 18-19

Used to ride with his dad and brothers too

Definitely a few French fries short of a happy meal riding lol

I had the chance to ride an Alpha this past week. I’ve been on a T3 since 2015 and I have to say that it was a lot of fun. I felt it didn’t quite have the torque of my ETEC but it hauled the mail on the top end. Steering is a little heavier but not as heavy as a Pro, IMO and was very easy to maneuver and initiate a sidehill. Could I get used to it? Absolutely. I’ve been on and around Doo’s most of my life, but a change might be in my future.
