Any successful 2 stroke turbo drag sleds out there?

I'm looking to get maximum hp out of my 15 summit sp. I currently have high compression heads and port work. I'm debating a big bore or turbo. I know the turbo can produce more hp. What hp can a stock bottom end etec 800 handle. I did get the crank trued also. I am not concerned with what type of fuel I may have to run. Just hp. Is a low elevation turbo drag sled a waste of money?

Yes. If you cant afford to flush 100$ bills down the toilet then drag racing isn't for you.

Sooooo anything else you can share with me? Any experience? As far as I know, it's all a waste of money in the end. It's not my concern. Just hoping someone is running a turbo at low elevation

Yes it has been done lots. What part of it are you worried about?

I ride at higher elevations, but I have many friends that are into drag racing.

I honestly think a turbo 4 stroke would make for a better drag sled though.

Thank you. I am thinking of starting fresh with a new sled. I am looking at 19 SRX. The 900T has me wondering too.

I called the engine builder. It's built for boost. I need to know what to look for. Any common issues to be on the look out for?

Nice sled, i read your original post and for power nothing on the planet will out power an Apex on boost. Apex can reliably exceed 300hp and won't even hiccup doing it.
I read that your into drag racing?
The only problem with your choice is the Nytro chassis, i would had choose'n an Apex chassis for that application. As you will find out the Nytro's are top heavy and at high speed become twitchy and unstable, especially compared to the flat footed Apex.
But for chute climbing, it will be a beast that not many will hang with.

Thanks Lund. Yes, snow drags specifically. I contacted Pro-line about a 144" snow/ice drag suspension (cut tunnel extension). I am hoping to drop as much weight as I can, A different much smaller fuel tank, lower it drastically with Pro-line in rear and shorter shocks up front. Not sure what track or drivers yet and finally clutch and gear it. I am also lowering all of the gauge and keeping the handle bars as tight to the sled as possible. Hopefully the sled will be a little more stable? I should have started with an Apex but the sled was sold to me for a price I couldn't refuse. Maybe I should be looking for a trade! lol I look forward to digging in and learning as I go. I love it so far.

I will also have a ton of parts for sale.

Not sure what class your running in or what boost you are planning to run, but i would suggest a stand alone ecu with studder, traction control, lamba, knock, etc, to get max hp to ground.

Thank you. Traction control? Never knew that it existed. How does Traction control on a sled work?

I honestly don’t know a whole bunch about it but I know they use it on high hp drag sleds out east. Martin at precision sports in quebec sells the motec for apex motors too...guy is an amazing tuner. Check out his website
