You have north thompson mixed up with Oasis.

That's right Oasis sucks don't go there. Ungroomed lots of willows beating the crap out of your new machine. Just not worth it. I went in there once and never again.
Just saying.

I feel like this is something I would say to people if the snow was really good...

Been a long ways back in oasis, but you need to ride a few razorbacks to get there. You can avoid any big drops if you can ride in the trees, but coming back out is a challenge sometimes. North thompson, you need to really know where you are going because there is alot of closed area back there. We rode back to the park one year, but that was about 10 years ago. Mostly bush riding and logging roads, till you get to Azure lake, and then it is only one side of the lake you can actually ride on without entering wells gray park. You Need alot of snow in the valley to get there as you need to cross water a few times. We had to do some water skipping even when there was alot of snow.

The good news for the Valemount and surrounding areas is that the high pressure seems to be taking a hike and the clouds are beginning to set in nice and thick and they look WET! The long term forecast looks promising. Currently there is no alpine access in the Valemount area although a brave few have made it to alpine, at what expense I do not know. I am usually one of the first out riding and I have not got the skis wet on my T3 yet.

This recent long, cold and clear spell is wreaking havoc on the alpine snowpack. When we do get that next big dump that may start the season, please use extreme caution and see how this is all going to play out snowpack wise as the new load is likely not going to be well supported. Don’t be afraid to break out your shovels and have a look for yourselves!

Yes this could make for some dangerous early season conditions all over BC.

Why do we need snow that weekend?? If I don't unload my sled all weekend I'll still have a great time. It's not like there will only be 30 riders like MM1; when we all actually rode together. Snow depth will just be a detemining factor in hangover severity.
