I'm referring to backcountry, I mean why else would the best sledder in the world be with polaris? I will say though, the doo free-rides are just as good too.
Sorry I missed seeing the shootout competition for backcountry champ. Burandt won? Cool....

well all the best engine builders in the world say there is a design flaw. i tend to believe them.im not saying in any way they all blow up because i ride with alot of them that havent had a problem. but there many with issues. skidoo backs there engine with a factory 4 year engine warranty which just shows how confident they are with it.

Do you ride a sled longer than 4 years on the same motor? What if you mod that motor? What amount of miles do people put on before rebuilding?

Seems to me people ride their mountain sleds 2-3 years, modify them voiding the warranty anyways, also by what ive seen guys rebuild the top end every 2000-2500 mountain miles anyways.

Ski-doo steering is weird for lots of people. Most ski-doo dealers are assh*les and all the good small ones are switching to cat or polaris cause skidoo is dropping them wanting big showrooms.

When i was looking at ski-doos the gift from god salesmen with their "the price is msrp cause the sleds the best, you dont buy one someone else will" attitude was annoying as all hell.

IQ is small.. location confirms....

2 stroke engines suck....8000 rpm almost constantly.....no matter what the brand.. seriously you think something is going to last more then a few years if best.....

At least ski-doo is now saying that their engine will last 4 years no KM restriction! that says something right there. warranty approved...yet to be determined....:]....To the rest----the industry is just taking your money. They are all going after the indispensible cash your getting paid for the underquailifed and uneducated personal that the oil industry requires but can't attract thru foreign workers because of labour/immigration laws.
Count your lucky stars most shouldnt get paid the wages they do in AB and industry is smarter then you so they ass rape you for it....BC just cashes in on it, the popo tickets you and degenerates steal your sleds.

" EVERY one " hey? I own a 2012 pro rmk with over 1200 miles, I've owned older polaris sleds with over 1200 miles. I have two good riding buddies with 2012 pro's with over 1200 miles. They have also owned older polaris sleds with over 1200 miles. We have been riding together for years and none of us yet to blow a motor. Of course we sell before the miles load up too much while usually upgrading every two years.. Do your research before you say nonsense.

1200 miles? Let's talk again at 5000 miles like some of the skidoos in my group are logging on original motors

Oh and he was being sarcastic lol

But they only give the 4 year warranty on a select few sleds and only if you snow check....does that mean they are only confident in the snow checked sleds and not the rest??

and if you take e-start...you only get 3 years??? ....a little less confident??? LOL

don't preach that you get 4 years because it is a superior sled when we all have that same option.

the other manufacturer's market it differently.

Cat comes with 2 years (plus $500 spending money) for a lot less money than your 4 year warranteed sled.

If I had to buy the extra warranty and factor in the $500 cash bonus, I think it's still a better deal....and a better looking sled IMO.....lol

If you want the best sled Poo on Edge/Pro-X platform would be the best choice.
These sleds have a bulletproof engine and everything around it. Solid drivetrain, clutching etc.
I have had a polaris with 20k miiles on it and was still running strong, needless to say these sleds are very simply to fix and all parts are cheap.
Modern ski-doo and polaris seems a peace of **** to me, most parts are made in China and they seldom even go ever 3k.
Having one of them just wasting of mulla & time to me.
