After they shut down and razor wire HHA I'm gonna have them lock down Wabamun Lake too.... I hate the thought of having to listen to other peoples boats at all hours of the day. Just because I want to live on the lake doesn't mean I should have to put up with drunken boaters & jet ski's, I have the right to prevent every one else's fun to maintain my own peace & quiet....

every summer in Peace River the jet boats rip up and down the river on nice days, and every summer some "new" residents complain and write letters to the paper about the noise.....they pretty much get told to pound sand. there's 3 boat launches within town limits, the jet boats are always going to be on the river. I live about 4 miles north of the river and on nice days I can hear them roaring, it sounds awesome.

yep, on the weekend after this one in conjunction with peacefest. they've asked our sled club to do security at the boat launches to watch over their gear while they are racing, which we will gladly do.

Damn sky divers and their noisy planes from Eden West too.... every hour there is a plane over my house, if I was a shift worker I'd be pizzed.

This loser is making the wrong argument, I've commented on the over use and abuse of HHA before and do not use the area anymore, that said I think it would have been a good idea to let the ATV club take ownership & maintenance of the area, at least then there is some accountability. The noise and chit late at night is more bush parties from local kids from the surrounding subdivisions, NOT your average Quadder. the garbage is the same thing. I've spoken to all the Peace officers back there and so long as you are legal & sober and stay off private property you are good to go.

Hahahaha............in beautiful downtown Fernie the tracks go right through the downtown core. A movement has started and is well under way to have the trains not blow the whistle at the 3 crossings in the City. One crossing has flashing lights/gate, the other two have flashing lights only. What doo they expect..................move somewhere where there isn't a train, eh!

The Lac Ste Anne ATV club has done some work in the past to help make certain sections crossable in order to prevent fence cutting to get around. However, I'm unsure at this point how much effort we've put into it to date or where the work was done. I will make a point of inquiring about it at our next meeting.
