Whats up the cat clutch? sure hope the jackshaft is supported not like a/c does it. Nice work on the turbo Neil.

Never really understood why it was like that. I think the theory was to keep the center to center consistent on the clutches, but it looked to me lime it might be hard on chains.
We had to build motor mounts anyway so it has all changed. Ours is quite solid.

The plan is to have this sled at Yamafest wearing Yammie colors and running our new low boost 200 hp kit.

Someone has to have a turbo long track version on the snow this winter...Might as well be us.
This will give us a head start on turbo kits for them too.
Fair enough but you must be making some assumptions on location as well as heavily modifying the overstructure?

I have some good Intel regarding engine location, clutch centre's, motor mount structure, exhaust routing, etc. Couldn't have done this build without it.

From a cat dealer I know, they have had there few issues with chains. But thats with 250hp+, and not having mountain gearing.

This was today's project along with finalizing the water to air airbox and heat exchanger.
This sled with stock compression, water to air intercooler and fast spooling Garrett GTX turbo should be fun to ride.
The Yamaha motors light up quickly and pull hard on top.
