Looking into finally hitting up the Greatwest Truck Show in Vegas. We've only been once a few years ago for a buddies 40th and stayed at a friends time share - never again. We want to stay at a decent casino this time. I know there are lots of you who have been time and time again hence this thread. Be me, wife, and possibly my 14yr daughter. The Venetian, Treasure Island, and the Fairfield Inn are close to the venue. So what are the good and bad places to stay at? What are the reasons you like that particular casino? You can PM me with the good stuff ... LOL

Thanks :)

Im presuming your Truck Show is at the convention center, so you can stay at any hotel on the tram line and get on the tram on the 2nd or 3rd floor of your hotel and go direct to the show.

Which hotel? Really almost any on the strip are good, different themes but lots of fun. My last trip we stayed at Planet Hollywood and had a great time. A huge mall with lots to do on the main floor, that might make your 14 year old happy.

Stay at any hotel on the strip, but get a 3 day bus pass, easily the best and cheapest way to get around, a stop in front of pretty much every 2nd hotel on both sides of the strip and ends up at Fairmont.

Lots to do, have a great time.

We went to Vegas for the first time in March and stayed at the Flamingo. It was about central on the strip and an easy walk to lots of fun stuff, We really enjoyed the garden area for some quiet time and the pools were quite pleasant. Don't think it makes any difference where you stay it's going to be hectic. Enjoy your trip.

I have been to vegas close to a dozen times now, and it NEVER gets old. enjoy it man. I agree with other posts, for your trip, stay on the strip on a strip hotel. your feet and your liver will thank you. explore, walk around, etc etc. It is sensory overload. Collect the snapper cards. once you stroll the strip, you'll know what I mean. there are tons of little bars/pubs etc off the main strip, so if you have a rental car, explore man. Its a crazy city.Last time there, me and buddy left the strip, just started driving, saw a Richie Bros auction. started driving. Ended up in a shadey area, one car burning, another house burning a block away, and then boom, into the speedway and the airforce base. Just explore.
