What are some of the phone numbers everyone has stored in their sat phone?
post em up, was thinking search and rescue for the area your riding and a chopper company or two if possible.

search and rescue ,snowmobile club,helicopter companies,rcmp,wives cell numbers for all people in our group,tow truck company in are of travel in mountains where no cell phone coverage

You can not call S&R directly. They must be initiated through the local RCMP.

Local pizza joint so chopper can deliver lunch when coming to get your dead sled.

Write the numbers down on paper and put them in a ziplock bag in your phone case. If you're hurt, you don't ant your buddies trying to figure out what number to call. They might not even realize that you have numbers stored.

I don't own a sat phone, but rent quite often from communications group & this was an easy solution.

... put a pencil in your ziploc also.

Better yet, type them out, that way buddies don't have to try to decipher bad writing. Can always do poor man's laminating too and just use packing tape
