After not being able to find a whole lot of information on the fitment of the Outlander Max in the back of a Nissan Frontier, I thought I would share my experiences.

The Outlander (specifically 2012 Outlander Max XT 800R), does fit between the wheels wells of a 2nd generation (2005+) however not a lot of room to spare. My 2010 Fronty came with the Utili-trac system which was great for tying everything down. Unfortunately the outlander does rest partly on the tailgate of the "long bed" (72") but I used some 2x10's (length wise, under all wheels) to help distribute the load. Seemed to work great.

With the V6, the truck handled great and I didn't notice any kind of performance difference with nearly 1000#'s in the box.

Hopefully this helps answer some questions for a fellow Frontier/Outlander owner.
