So I have a 2012 summit X and I find the seat height great on the trail but when I get to the hills I find 3-4 times a day I hook my toe on it while transition from side to side. Anyone know of a lower seat I could use that has some storage?

The 2013 seats are lower, shorter and have storage.

Yes the 2013 seats do mount to all previous XP tanks. We took one off a demo and tried last winter. I believe the prototype 2012 sleds that had the tmotion in them were also running 2013 seats.

Very easy to confirm. Just go into any dealer that has one on the floor and try.

The older 08/09 seats are lower but also wider. If you are handy you could always shave the foam on your 12 but still wouldn't have storage.

The 2013 seat storage I believe is expandable as well.

Thanks for the great info, I'm gonna price a 13 seat. Just so you know the 12x seats had a little storage, enough for a rope or tow strap.

That was a typo. I meant the older seats. I have a 12.

If you can live without the storage right in the seat, a good upholstery shop can cut the foam down & re-build your cover. Probably can build in storage compartment similar to a boss seat too.

After buying my last boss seat (junk) and seeing what my upholstery guy in Red Deer can do, swore I'd never buy another aftermarket one.
