Hi Everyone!

I may be behind the times but we found a solution to the high speed internet problem in the country...if you have cell coverage. You can get an air card from Telus Mobility (USB if going into a desktop computer - more choices if going into a laptop) that was developed for laptops. The cost is $299.99 (no contract) or $49.99 (3 year contract) for the aircard and $60.00 per month (30 MB download) or $100.00 per month (unlimited).

Works very well.

Happy surfing!!

Did you look into solutions like platinum communications? Wireless over sat dishes?

Ya but the unlimit is caped at 100mb. Trust me they tell you its unlimited, but read the fine print. And its $15/mb after the 100mb cape. Bell has a air card that is 250mb/month for less than telus and uses all of telus's towers.

Yep, pay attention to the fine print and the limits placed on an air card. Fellow worker thought it was great until he found out how much info is pulled down on many sites. His unlimited would last for about 12 days and then he had to pay extra.
Otherwise the service is great and speed very acceptable.

I sure hope you guys are wrong about this. I average 60MB/day at work. I work 23 days/month. 60MB x 23 days = 1,380MB. 1,380MB - 100MB cap = 1,280MB. 1,280MB x $15.00 per MB = $19,200.00/month:yikes:

In Parkland County and Devon you can use Tera-Byte. They are an amazing company. No limits and very fast. Good rates!

I went to the link and I don't see where it says when you have the unlimited plan there is a 100MB cap and after that you pay $15.00/MB.

Am I missing somthing catzuki? Does it say that somewhere else?

I know it does not say it there, but i would go and discuss it with some one from telus or bell or who ever. I just know that there is some fine print there that says they have a 100mb cap. Some of the guys at work have had some faily high bills.
