New to jet boats. Just looking for some tips or advice along my build. It’s not a low water boat. It’s 19ft and has a 16 degree hull im ok with that. I’ll be using this boat on bigger lakes and sandy sk rivers. We dislike our ssv Alaskan with a 8 degree hull it’s so dang rough when the waves come up. I’m Building a mostly alum 460 stroked to 557 with fuel injection. The jet is a 12jc and I bought a A3 impeller for it. Probably to much motor for the boat I have. I’m building this motor to keep for a future project that a large power plant will be nice.
The boat is Getting fully rebuilt. I managed to stuff in 500L of fuel, two captain chairs with smooth moves suspension and a bench seat. It will fit 5 ppl but it mostly will just be the wife and I on the adventures. Tons of storage under the bow of the boat, on the sides and behind by the motor.
One thing I’m concerned about in the noise. The boat has water logs and snails followed by some stainless steel tips with the a couple baffles in them.
For vibrations I’m going to dyno matt anything that can viabrat.
Here’s a few progress photos so far I’m around 25g and will have a 700 ish Hp engine.
Cost should stay reasonable as my dad has a ekeystone account and a welding shop.
Keeping the name but not the colour.
