I have a champion wood chipper, rock went through it or something and fuct the impeller and grate.

Be an easy fix, but hardest thing to do is get the parts. It could be as easy as calling champion, but man i hate that chit.

Its 1000$ for a new one, so id pay up to 4 or 5 hundred to fix this one. Only had a tank of gas through it.

Anyone in red deer area fix this crap?

Might go buy a bigger one, but this one worked good till it didnt...

I see blades and carbs on Amazon. Did you try there?

Ya i need the whole impeller assembly. You can order it from champion for 100$.

I need a new grate too, and cant find that on the Canadian site.

So thats why id have to call champion USA and thats where the fun begins. Lol

I can maybe straighten mine out, but needs to be perfect to work.

I could maybe fab a new one, that takes time though and this thing is only 1000$ new

Heres the grate, can probably straighten it out, but it needs to be pretty straight as those claws on the impeller sweep through it as it rotates at 3000rpm

it's possible that there was a rock grown into some of the wood that you run through it. I watched a video on u tube. Guys were salvaging cuts from a lard stmp and ran into a large rock grown into the stump.

This chipper has a chute on the front that you put the larger stuff in. (will do up to 3 inch thick branches)

And a hopper on top you throw the twigs and chit in. Got through all the big stuff no problem, but when I was cleaning up
the twigs I must have got a piece of gravel or something hard and It went boom.

Was literally my last handful of stuff to go in too. Got the job done, but i have a bunch more brush to get rid of that is still standing right now.

We're lucky here in Bonnyville. We have Dynamo Small Engine Services. They have been my go to for small engine parts. Which reminds me, I got to go there Friday and pick up my Craftsman snow blower parts.

I brought mine to the guy out on gas alley
That Puddle suggested. Escape power sports.

Seems like a good guy, so just waiting now.

Dont have any wood to chip today so no panic.
