Category winners were announced at the Montreal International Auto Show.
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) announced the best new vehicles in Canada for 2020, covering 12 categories in segments that include cars, utility vehicles, and pick-up trucks.
With this announcement, these winners move one step closer to being named 2020 Canadian Car of the Year and 2020 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year. These awards will be presented during the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto on February 13, 2020.
In addition, the 2020 Canadian Green Car of the Year and 2020 Canadian Green Utility Vehicle of the Year awards will be presented at the Vancouver International Auto Show on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
“AJAC’s Canadian Car of the Year category award winners are those vehicles deemed by our members to be the cars, SUVs, and trucks that are best suited to the realities of driving in Canada,” said Stephanie Wallcraft, President of AJAC. “AJAC members comprise the largest collective group of automotive journalism expertise in the country, and they take pride in providing assessments that are objective, fair, and based on real-world road testing experience. Canadians can be confident that each of these vehicles has been selected as a standout by experts who understand the unique challenges of navigating Canada’s diverse roads and conditions.”

I agree with the Subaru Legacy, Arlene's 2018 is awesome. Not sure what their criteria is based on but it seems to be missing some of the best al time performers from Honda, Toyota, Ford & Chev
