What are the best quads for out west in your opinion looking at ride quality, dependability and power Tks.

Based on my recent experience, I would have to suggest NOT a Honda. I never thought I'd utter a sentence like that BUT it does not seem like the Honda of today is the same as the Honda of the 1980's and 1990's. Bought a 2022 Rubicon 520 foot shift TRX520FM for riding west of Calgary (Waiparous...

    Grooming at Quartz

To make sure that my pasty skin did not get overexposed to the high-altitude sunshine, I periodically made sure to put myself and the sled upside down in the snow. Safety first! Polaris-killer, at various points of the day, provided examples of this technique as well as descending hills without...

    Grooming at Quartz

Rode at Quartz today (Jan.26) and it was tracked out... BUT the snow was still soft and there was lots of good areas to play on/in. Even more exciting was that it was completely clear all day, my first time ever there with a clear sky all day, SUPER SWEET!

    Corbin trail conditions

Hey Catattack Sorry, I am terrible with names of areas especially since I have not been into Corbin 4 or so seasons. We were into Barnes lake (first photo) and then from there I was just following my friend into the adjacent areas. With this current storm you should be going into some good riding.

    Corbin trail conditions

I was out there on Dec 1 and the conditions were pretty good. Starting from the mine site the trail was okay, not super rough but not glass smooth either. There were still some areas with little snow cover but other areas were great for the time of year. Sorry I'll try the photos again.

Thanks for the input guys. I called Bow Cycle and spoke with a sales guy named Brad. He said they still have a limited supply of X's available, so I am going to sleep on it for a night and then pull the trigger. I am going to have to start scouring this forum more intensely to find out what...

Thanks for the reply and insight, get er done. I have ridden sleds before but it has been a long, long time since I have owned one. I am actually seeking a new 2009 model as I have been burned before on used crap (other sports), and really want this to be new and good for many seasons. I rode...

new to forum and seeking summit x

As a new member to the forum and a newer rider to snowmobiling, I was wondering if anybody had any insight as to where I might be able to purchase a Ski-Doo Summit X model. I live in the Calgary area and understand that riding areas in Revelstoke and Golden are killer, so I want a Summit as I...
