Just got back from Revy. Stayed at Days Inn. Paid $165 +tax for two queen bed suite on second floor. This is the type of room that we usually staying. This was supposed to be the "sledder rate" which appears to be cheaper than what is on the website booking page. I think Friday and Saturday...
The CR tunnel is easy to put on. Some of the rivet and bolt holes are pre-drilled, so the alignment and connection to bulk head are easy. The hardest part was getting the running board support brackets at the front of the tunnel to connect properly. I had to weld a little tab on the bracket...
I bought my Nytro from JC a few years ago. I have also discussed numerous upgrades with him and bought aftermarket parts and my turbo kit from him too. It is great when you can walk in his shop and he knows you by name.
Try Calgary Seat Cover. They redid my buddy's Nytro seat and it looks great. Lots of selection of vinyl in various colors and grains. They are located on 12 st NE right accross the street from Walt Healy Motor Sports.
I agree. I used Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in my Summit for 3 years and never saw any sign of chain wear or filings in the chain case. I am pretty sure that Dodge specifies ATF for the transfer case in my truck. I have recently been to using Shell synthetic chain case oil in my Nytro. You can get it...
Washy on here used to sell a gusset kit. I put one in my Nytro and it lasted until I hit a huge boulder. If you have the stock '08 subframe, them strengthening it is a must.
Yes, normal. Vacuum initially until turbo is spinning fast enough to generate positive pressure in the intake. Mine reads the same. Does your gauge read zero when the sled is off? I zero'd mine at home and it will read some positive pressure in the staging areas which are at lower elevation...
We usually do a combined Revy/Sicamous trip and where we sled depends on the day of the week. Usually depart Calgary Wed. AM and sled Boulder and stay in Revy. Thursday Blue Lake (40 min from Revy) or Eagle Pass. Friday Griffin. Saturday Area 51.
Fernie area is very convenient for a day trip...
I speak from experience here. I had my stock Yamaha rails powder coated. They both cracked. A buddy of mine also had some AC rails done. One of his broke too. I am not sure if it the grade of aluminum is the problem. Maybe the rails were heated to an elevated temperature, or perhaps cooled...
Nice. Your vid showed the speedo on occassion and lools like you were getting some decent track speed on some of the pulls. I just updated mine to the 190 HP version but haven't ridden it yet. How is your clutching set-up? What top sprocket are you running?
Thanks,
Yes, there is a little bit of a turnaround at km 3 where the road branches off. There was a couple of 4 place trailers parked on the side of the road when we were there.
I started this thread a couple of yeasr ago and ended up getting my chains from Titan Supply in Calgary. I have uncommon size tires on my truck (285/75-17 about 34") and they ended up taking a set of heavy duty chains that would fit 35" tires and cut them down. The guys went out to the parking...
I have a cross trax deck and it will stand on its back end. So, lift the front of the deck to stand deck vertical on its back end. Back up truck with tail gate down. Get in box and lower front of deck to rest on tail gate. Get back on the ground and lift back of deck up level and push...
Check out Charmac. My buddy bought one a couple of years ago. It seems to be built a bit beefier than the Triton he had before and came with larger wheels and tires. He got it at Don Laing near Ponoka. It is a V nose that you can drive off the front, but did not come with any slush guards...
Yep. I use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in my sled. Use it in my Dodge. I have also used Shell Advanced Synthetic chaincase oil frpm Can Tire. It works fine too and is about $9 for 500ml so a bottle lasted me two years.
What have you seen for rolling trays? I need to get something, but I don't have a lot of height between the box and the bottom of my ramp. I'd still like to be able to put my gear bag under the deck, but space is tight as is, so I'd need some kind of tray that sits very close to the box.
