I was wondering if you could recommend some pre-season maintenance that I could do myself or have a dealer do. Some of the things I have been doing in the past is changing the spark plugs and greasing the sled. How often should I have the oil changed, coolant, what other things should I be doing?
Anyone have any ideas? I need to get a welder to weld them up, but I don't know the thickness of the aluminum. My guess was around 1/8" or is every pipe different
I am looking to replace my set of pipes on my sled, the only problem is I called around and it could take up to 3-4 weeks to get something in. Any idea's how I might be able to patch job this until I find and order a new set of pipes in?
I thought of two ways, rivet some tin/seal bond it. Or...
Looking buy a trailing arm and front shock for a 2000 RMK 700. Willing to buy the right side but will buy both if you're only willing to sell in pairs. PM or email me at tony@cargowest.com
We started about 40km south of GP and got to the 65-70km mark towards GC.
Had a good trip with W2R and brother, Paulw22, myself and my gf, and a friend Sean. Great powder along the highway and up to the power lines was pretty good. Blew a hole in my exhaust, it was a crappy modded exhaust...
Any idea when Big Mountain opens up? Or if it's been groomed yet? I tried looking around the swan city snowmobilers club, but that website doesn't have much to say.
Does anyone know of any manufacturers for kits for a '98 polaris trail rmk, or a '99 700 rmk? It said it was an option for those years, but I'm having a hard time tracking these things down.
I went to go fire up my '98 Trail RMK and my '99 700 RMK. Neither of them started and I pulled and pulled and pulled. I tried different choke settings, different throttle settings, no throttle. I double cheked the kill switches were on, fuel switch was on, spark plug wires were attached, tethers...
I really want to know how this sled is going to handle in anything that isn't a trail. The sled is 108 inches long (9 ft) with a 121" track. It's 464 pounds empty so closer to 650 or more with fuel, gear and a rider. It will be a nimble sled for sure, but I have a bad feeling that you'll be...
It's just about to start snowing and I am not really sure how to check everything that needs to be checked on my two sleds. I took one of them in last year just for an overall inspection and walked out 300 lighter in my wallet. I know how to check the fluids and such, but is there anything else...
Just stumbled across this website looking for some information on one of my sleds. I can be found up in northern alberta snowmobiling as much as I possibly can. I like the scenery and how well the trails and powder riding is up here. Every day is a new adventure.
Cheers,
Tony
