Always have used Howes, so don't know how my 2005 LLY would run without it?? At $350-$400 per injector, good to keep them clean. What year are you looking at?
Thanks Capt, I'm just slow on the draw today I guess. :d
You and JoHNI are very correct.
If you see a "searching ?? Helicopter", It really does help us out if you "point" toward the Injury, or broke down sled or ?? , if you know where something is happening in the Bowl. We get vague...
I'm Glad that worked out OK, and the $600 sounds fair to do 2 lifts.
My biggest fear is to drop a $15,000 + sled, as we don't carry hook insurance.
Just a basic $0.50 per Lb, "....here's $300 for your sled, sorry Man..."
Not sure of that Slinging set-up, never ever done that myself? The problem with the rear bumber is that when it lets go, the line slingshots up into the Heli-blades AND the sled goes for a fatal thud ( seconds before the Heli does the same???).
We always use the 3 point setup, a strap around...
HA ! Too funny, my first car was a Pinto, it had the 1600 CC engine, poor little car was hit on every panel BUT the rear, ...as they tended to blow up in a rear end collision. Great Car. Did a huge brake stand - smoke show in front of the high school one day...just like the guys with the trans...
I was not involved in this incident, but I want to offer my most sincere condolences to the Families and Friends of the Victims.
I also want to commend the group of on site Rescuers for an awesome job of orgainizing and conducting such a quick and effective rescue situation, you guys saved a...
Hey Jaredszakacs, I'm actually interested in lowering my 2005 Duramax. I bought it 18months ago, with an approx 3" lift, but it's now rolling on 265's Vs the 285's it came (to me) with.
The reasons, I just replaced the upper ball joints at 91,000 Km, not sure if it's lift related, or the...
No problems, That's why I'm here, to give the Group some insight from this side of the fence.
Keep in mind, my facts and figures are not Official, and I have no inside info.
I was just there on scene, I counted Helicopters, I think I know were they all came from, I know what they should be...
CUSO, All of the answers are already here in this thread. The Rescuers required the sleds be moved to continue the search. They had no way of knowing that every one was accounted for, they had to continue the search. can you imagine the fallout, IF they quit searching and then realized that...
Just read Modmans post, not many aircraft are at $1,000/Hr anymore.
A bell 212 (or Bell 205) is about $3,500/Hr.
6 were there, most probably flew 2-3 hrs each = approx $65,000
A Bell 407 is about $2,400/Hr.
3 were there and flew about 2 Hrs each = $28,000
An Astar 350 is about 2,400/Hr...
