    Best Techniques for Towing

We always lash one ski hoop tight to the bumper. Have never had any issues other than smoking the odd belt. Have tried with proper tow rope to the spindles through the ski hoops as well as with snow bungees but always seem to damage something. Up hills nothing works but manpower - walking them...

    A real Doo rider

Just back from a great day deep in kakwa. To put an exclamation point on Mel's riding ability at 75: group of 12, all makes of stock sleds today. Mel watched quietly as we all put up our best marks on a hill we didn't stand a chance of getting to the top and without a word took his 174 doo and...

    A real Doo rider

Well said Lenny. Ignore the posts from the couch jockeys who found their profile pics in a magazine that has pics real riders like Mel. And before anyone else posts a poor attempt at humor; I also have the honor of knowing Mel and riding with him a few of his probably 75 plus days a year and...

    polarized goggle lens

I recently rode a couple days in really poor conditions (cloudy/foggy & snowing off & on) recovering some buried sleds in Renshaw - tried out new polarized yellow goggles and found non polarized yellow ones worked substantially better. Polarized set are slightly more tinted designed for brighter...

Another Avy in Golden - Feb 21/16

Re: Another Avy in Golden today. It's not always poor decisions out there Chunk, sometimes bad things happen. If going to the mountains to do what we love, whether it be sledding or skiing, is a poor decision then I guess there's a lot of people making them every day. If you weren't there...

    Uhmw on jet boat.

I agree Lenny. Remember this spot...not many light bottom boats wouldn't have had to go to the shop for a major overhaul afterwards...

    Best place / worst place

Kakwa, south of GP, is great, terrain for every level of rider & all kinds of conditions. Valemount/McBride are also excellent, many options to choose from for different areas to ride.

    Aftermarket tracks

Looking for feedback on what's working well for aftermarket tracks for higher hp sleds - specifically on a 162" Impulse turboed Nytro (running ~300hp).

    Nytro Track

Looking for feedback on what tracks are working well on; 2010 Nytro w/ an Impulse kit (running ~300hp). The stock one is a total POS on it, won't hook up at all. Looking to stay at a 162" as well.

    Premium Fuel (best quality)

Why not mix fuels, I've mixed for years & never had issues? Never had the octane tested, where can a guy get that done?
