Looks like no structure there a well done JB weld job will make it good as new done many clutch and mag covers on dirtbikes , even fixed my bike rad and ran it for 2 weeks untill the replacement came in without a problem.
If nothing else it wil get ypu by for the rest of the season and you can...
If you go for simmons go Gen 2 with the side cut mod.
8 inch is ok in spring stuff but not in the early season deep stuff .
Grind of the inside wear-bars cabides, that does help with the steering , nothing floats like gen 2s .
If you are set on 8 inch the powder hounds 8 inch ( not the 7" )...
You have to drop here as low as possible, they will not handle worth $hit like that .
Have a long travel Alpha X in mine and have to run it as low as possible in the drop brackets and then run the suspension with lots of drop.
I have the float evo's on so I can crank up bottoming resistance...
YES 12 pounds per ski for the simmons gen 2 and just over 6 for the sly dog powder hounds per ski for almost 12 pounds of difference for the set.
By the looks of it the Gen 3 skis are no lighter, that said simmons skis are the best ski out there just a bit heavy.
I have a supercharger at 10 to 11 pounds they come in at arround 240-250 hp on stock copression .
I run straight aviation gas some guys run a 50 50 mix of 110 and premium.
Turbo at the same boost level should be the same.
May need to eat some of my comments.
Had my gem just lean out the sled from 12 to 1 to 13.5 to one .
Bumped up the fuel got it back to 12 to 1 again runs flawless again for the rest of the day.
No harm done just not happy with things just changing for no apparent reason.
So no one with a side by side comparison between the Peak and CE track?
Had a CE and was hands down the best track I ever had with stock power and boost.
However it delaminated like a lot of CE's do , could not get a new one in town but the cat dealer had a power claw.
PC works well all...
You can not go wrong with the Holz skid it is the most underestimated of all skids .
I have run them on everything 2 stroke to a supercharged Apex --- there is way less issues with holz than with any other after-marked skids , they
just work and maintain a even track tension through its...
That is to bad.
I have had about 6 good rides on it so far and no problems just did some basic set up got air fuel all dialed for a few different altitudes so no need for air fuel after that. I hope I have better luck than you.
We have a lot of MCX turbos here and they seem to be the most...
Went out drag racing this weekend.
The Powerclaw track has a hard time with the power of the SC
Got the initial hock up dialled in not bad but it brakes loose 1/3 down the 660 run once I hit speed, like the paddles are bending over to much when she starts stretching here legs.
Not sure if I...
With straight Av you will always be saver than with a mix - no guess work no questionable car gas.
Av will give you 110 octane running rich like 11.5 to 12 to 1 and maintain at least 100 octane at leaner than 14.7 to 1 it is tested on a supercharged knock engine with a 300 degree intake temp...
Never had that problem with my supercharger;) However my turbo used to have the same problem if I did not thaw it out I needed to turn the boost down a bit before the first full power run just to get the controller moving after that it was fine. As you said pay att to your boost...
It all works with stock drivers and suspension. After 2 seasons the stock drivers were worn out and I replaced them with Avid drivers .
I used gen 2 skis with great results but have tried the new 8 inch poderhounds they are 12 pounds lighter the simmons and work well.
Do not confuse them with...
This is what I did if possible always go ahead of the muffler else you will get inacurate readings at lower power setting .
A real pain on the stock exhaust.
Got a supercharged Apex as well and love it, there are many light weight mods available that do not take away from durability like
-lightweight tall seat
-lightweight hood without lights ( you can remove the heavy steel hood/ bumper mounts as well and replace it with 2 small aluminum plates)...
Apex responds to lightweight stuff better than the Nytro.
Mine is 550 with the tank almost dry but all other fluids up that is with a supercharger on it.
I am doing a few more mods and will weigh it after that.
My last build was a RX1 turbo that came in at just right at 500 pounds with a 151...
Not sure he is digging as much as you think-------at 130 pounds with a well set up nytro especially if he has a different rear skid and track he will be able to hang with any stock 2 smoker that has a rider in the 200 pound range--remember that weight stuff.
I ride with a guy with a lightly...
