Hey guys, I've been looking at threads all over the net about this and from what I have read sleds up to 2009 have the stock output shaft machined for 5203 and also BDX brand gears are still machined for 5203 but apparently stock 2010/2011 CAT output gears have a slightly shorter surface for...
It's not too bad, you will need a tool to compress the clutch spring ( buy one or get a piece of threaded rod with nuts and washers on each end). Compress the spring a little and then remove your 6 torx screws that hold the helix on the sheave. Once you have the screws out you can now realease...
On a side note* Make sure that the circlips holding the wrist pin are not installed with the gaps straight to the side, I have seen circlips pop out when installed like this because of G-forces at high RPM's. Good luck.
Check your power valve cable length I can't remember what the measurement is but you have to be pretty close to make sure they open at the right time. Also check to make sure the powervalve servo motor is working it should turn on around 6500rpm. If you sled starts bogging around 6500rpm it more...
I have a bikeman kit that comes with torsional secondary conversion on my m7 153" and it works very well in deep powder but the primary spring is fairly stiff so the clutch engages really hard which is not the greatest on the trail. I have not tried any other set ups tho.
Well I just booked a room at the McBride Hotel for this weekend and was wondering how bad this place is? A double room costs $55 a night and she told me to pick up the keys in the bar downstairs lol, which leads me to believe this is an extremely classy spot! Just wondering what to expect. I...
Thanks for the reply. The rubber mount in the plate itself is fine its the hole in the bulkhead for the bolt that is chewed up (your 2nd pic). The bolt just spins in the hole since its been enlarged so I am going to take my throttle bodies out and try hold it with a pair of vice grips, then I'm...
I tried serching this topic but didn't have much luck. I am heading to Golden next week and was giving my sled a going over when I noticed my front pto side motor mount has come loose and in the process it chewed a decent size hole where the bolt sits in the frame. It looks like the hole in the...
I just bought a brand new clutch off ebay from Country Cat in Minnesota. It came with everything except the flywheel, spring and weights. $375 Canadian shipped to my door in fort mac.
I have the Bmp kit on my M7, but both kits are pretty much the same idea as far as I know. They convert your secondary from a compression type spring to a torsional spring setup. Flip a coin lol. But if the sled has lots of miles you would be better off spending your money on rebuilding...
