Great pics neddacsac. I usually do Fording Pass once a year, snow permitting. Thats the most snow I've seen going across the top in a few years.

    Quads at Etherington!!!

:realmad: To those of you driving your quads in the Cataract-Etherington area. Please be aware that quads and dirt bikes are not allowed in these areas. Next time I will record your plate numbers and turn them over to the RCMP with pics. I was especially pissed off to see your tire tracks going...

    Cattaract Creek.

Conditions at Cataract-Etherington area as of Jan 6/08. They snow really varies throughout the area. Trails in the south such as Skyline and Pasque are in great shape, lots of snow and very few bumps. From the top of Skyline looking west, sorry to say that there is very little snow in the...

    Cattaract Creek.

Heading to Cataract on Sunday for an easy ride. My wife will be a passenger so I'll be taking it easy and showing her around. We will be staging at Etherington. I'll post a snow report in the evening.

Whats the first sled you rode or own?

First sled as a passenger was an old Alpine, single ski, twin track. First sled I owned was a 1976 Olympic 340 twin. Paid $100 for it and had to put it back together.

    If you could?

Unless you are riding the trails hard and fast, go with a moderate mountain sled, 800 with 144" track, with 2-up seating. Having ridden both sleds, mountain sleds offer much more fun factor. When the wife is at home your not restricted by deep snow.

    Cattaract Creek.

Re: Cataract Creek Cataract Creek is great for trail riding. There are some cutblocks to play in when the snow gets deep. You can't beat the scenery either. The view from the top of Skyline trail is awesome. For those looking for a challenge, take the Fording Pass Trail over the divide and into...
