I’m doing the full skid plate from Yamaha and I’ll get a piece of aluminum bent aswell to cover just the drop down portion. So then I’ll have 1/4” stock plastic guard + 1/4” skid plate + 3/16” aluminum. Will have to bounce off a boulder before it damages the case again.

If you are doing a complete skid plate are you going to cover the brake side also, I banged a rock on mine coming out of salmon causing major noises. Replaced with new cheap cover but will be looking into covering the chaincase and the brake now

Yep might do a 2” piece of aluminum as added protection. Simple bolt on for peace of mind.

When you find out I’ll take that part # also and put them on under my skid plate.

Well I’ve been out a couple times now since the whole chaincase situation and sleds been great and pulls hard 62MPH with the Stage 4 kit. One trip to Revy hit some good snow solid 3 feet fresh. And just got home from Renshaw and rode 1-2 feet both days.

Seat of the pants dyno says it’s better everywhere. I’ve done a full stage 4 so that’s

Intake, Bullet Exhaust, Tune, Charge Tubes, BOV, and Thunder Products Heavy Hitter Arms/Weights Primary spring and secondary spring aswell.
