I have a 2008 gmc 3500 long box and am looking for a sled deck. I am thinking aluinum but also like the black ones as it would look good on my black truck. Looking to buy used, never had one before. Thinking adjustable sides for sure. Going to haul my brute 750 and my kids kawasaki 50 quad. Am i going to have a problem because my full size quad weighs way more than my sons little quad?? What is a good deck to look for and options that i may need. I will only be hauling quads, no sleds and will be hauling my travel trailer behind. What is a fair price to pay for used decks??

No problem with aluminum deck they are available in black. I had a black Marathon Classic deck, I really liked it expandable sides, good ramp easy to use and capable of loading quads from the side. I don't think there will be any problem with two different size quads. I paid $4200 new with super glides and a optional 12' ramp sold for $2600. I really like the new Marathon Truck Boss all aluminum and black powder coat. I like the fact that these decks all bolted in not mounted with turnbuckles. There are a few other good looking decks but don't have any experience with them. I sold mine only because I'm going to put a flat deck on my truck instead. No problem with holiday trailer I also pull a trailer.

Boxer i have a buddy in your town that has a Jet Craft single wide with built in fuel tank if interested. You can load quads on cross ways with the deck he has.
I would pull plywood and powder coat it black.
If interested let me know and will put you in touch with him. He lives up by Galagers Canyon.

I just picked up a 2009 Ish marathon classic with 12' ramp, super glides and black powder coat for 1800. Happy with it so far!

Good luck!

I am looking for the most economical deck for my 08 gmc 3500 long box that has adjustable sides, I haul a travel trailer so i am guessing i wont want a beavertail.

I recommend the Marathon Classic over the Truck Boss, even with the new modifications that have been done. The cracking or tearing of the box panel is brutal.

Pines in Saskatchewan has Marlon decks on sale for $2200 I think, I know there a less known deck but Im thinking for that price how bad can it be even if you need to have it reinforced a bit.

Maxwell how wide is the ramp on your Maralon deck? I would be using it for sleds and my RZR. Thanks.
