Yamaha 3000 with boost lol. Super quiet and runs ac no problem. Coffee makers and toasters draw a lot of power also. This generator has some weight and not as easy to haul around but runs everything very well. Electric start is handy but I cheaped out and didn’t get the remote start. Anything Yamaha or Honda is usually a good purchase.
I'm gunna guess it will since the 2000 can do it with a upgraded capacitor.Im definitely going to get one at some point,it's only one pound heavier too!

We got both Honda and Yamaha 2000 generators that we use at work. Tough little machines

Should do it with the upgraded capacitor in the AC unit as my Yamaha 2400 does it easily without the capacitor. One other factor to consider is altitude. The higher you go the less output the generator will have.
I’m looking at dual 2000w champions vs 1 3100 champion. At AC load do you think the dual 2000 is quieter than the single 3100?
At 25% 2000 is 53 (so 56 for both) vs 3100 at 58 so they should be close

I’ve never heard a 3100 so I can’t comment. You are more than welcome to stop by and have a listen. It’s time I fueled them up and give them 1 pull to get ready for camping.
Another trick you can try is turn on the AC fan on low first, then after a few seconds turn on the AC. This reduces the starting power a bit so you might get it to start with a smaller generator. I have the Yamaha 2400 and it starts it 95% of the time this way.

Also un plug your power converter or shut off breaker while using the AC. Power converter draws quite a bit of power. Switch fridge to propane.

AC is wired direct to the plug on the outside of the trailer correct?

Some power converters actually have a plug that plugs into an AC receptacle under the cupboards or drawers. You can unplug it there or find the breaker that controls that plug.
I already have 1 champion 2000 so probably gonna pickup a 2nd used one this summer to test it out. Thanks though

It still goes through your panel and a breaker.
I have the dual fuel champion. I like it I can move it around by myself. I plan it so it's close to empty easier on the back. Don't notice the sound with it in the bush. Live close to a train yard and use to live outside of a military base.....will probably sleep thru the rapture

I really like the Honda 3000. It’s quiet and it runs a long time on a tank of gas. Somewhere around 20 hrs I think. The one thing I don’t like is the weight. I got tired of lifting it so I put a set of wheels on it. Works like a charm. When I go camping I load it with quad ramps and it stays in the box of the truck the whole Trip. I just roll it out onto the tail gate. No more lifting and lugging for this old fart.

lol suicide cord... I have a extension cord with 2 male ends at home just for when the power goes out! Try to make sure and keep that one away from the wife and kids...
