I am looking to replace my, 26x8R12 and 26x11R12 polaris tires with Zillas, problem is that the Zillas don't make a 26x8R12, but instead have 26x9R12 so I would have to put 1" spacers on the front to accommodate the larger tires, the rear tires will fit fine. Other cheaper option is go to 25" on front and rear which should go on without the spacers. Any opinions? is it better to spend the extra $$$ for the 26" or are 25" tires fine for this Quad. Thanks

I put 27's on my 550 grizzly they are great I went with a offset rim to get a wider foot print go for the spacers .

Put the 1" spacers on the front. When I had my Sp500, I put on the spacers to run 27" ITP 589s. It was money well spent, IMHO.

OK, thanks for the info. I don't like the idea of smaller tires so I will probably go with the spacers and bigger tires.

Next door to my neighbor...
I put Zilla's on my 2010 Sportsman 500. 28-10-12 on the front and 28-12-12 on the rear. I ended up using an ITP offset steel wheel that was only $4.00 more per wheel vs. wheel spacers. I just liked the idea of having a solid wheel over spacers. Not sure there is an advantage one way vs. the other, just what I ended up doing. The rears have no clearance issues and the fronts clear the tie rod ends by 1/2". I also put a sport / utility EPI clutch kit in my bike to compensate for the larger tires. No complaints after 600 miles on the set up.
