Hanging out at the cabin and many of us were watching a group of sledders sidehilling back and forth across a very large Avy path, straight across from the deck, we are talking many many times back and forth.
Not to take a shot at any members of the site (if it was you) but really!!! That spot has had a (natural) level 3 Avy drop within the last few years that took out old growths of timber at the bottom of its run. It's also a place where there's a likely hood of snow being left above an Avy (hang fire) which would mean that no one should go in as do a search.
IMO risk taking at its worst plus such a bad thing for sledders in general if something were to happen. Really, if they were showing off, they just made a fool of themselves.

Please Please Please be AST 1 trained, understand and follow those rules, make good decisions and live to ride another day.
