Hers a few scanned photos of my first sled (before digital cameras). I had two skiroules, one I got off a co-worker for a Chevy starter and alternator and the other I got shortly after for $75. the first skiroule was a 300 single cyl. nut sucker with a tilitson carb and a gutted muffler and back in the day it was raced on the track back in Ontario (the lil sucker topped out at 70mph).
The second skiroule was a 500 with a Sachs 440 single carb which was later replaced with a newer Sachs 440 out of a friends wrecked 1978 skirloule which had dual Mikuni's and a tuned pipe and silencer.
I swear I got more air time on those ol sleds than I do with my Doo... Me and a buddy would ride down roads trying to run each other into the weeds on those things then during the week on my lunch breaks and after work I'd be doing fiberglass and chassis repairs for the next weekends battle.

I got a 1981 citation 4500 when I was 6. it had elec start and oil injection. what more could a 6 year old want? a tidy tank of gas lol. My next sled was a new ski-doo SS25 what a difference in power. My son started off with a 86 440 jag and now he just turned 8 so he has a 550 RMK 136x2. I just put reverse in it lastnight for him. Still have to find an elec start kit for it since he cant start it by him self yet lol. He has been driving his own quad since he was 2 and a half. he has now been through 6 quads and wants more speed lol.

The first sled I had was a 1970 Skiroule 400. (it was green) Paid $400 for it. Then I went to a 1969 Skidoo 669 TNT . Remember working on them for a about 3 hours and driving them for an hour and then back to working on them. Any more than a foot of snow and you were stuck. How technology has changed as we float over 10' of snow now.
Still love it!

First sled was handed down to me from my dad. It is a 1958 Yukon King in '67. I still have it in storage along with an old 1965ish 335 olympic and a '72 polaris 340 colt.
First sled we owned after meeting my wife was an '83 John Deere Snowfire.
Shortly after that we bought and rode Phazers from '84 to '86. Exiters and SRVs until we switched to Arctic Cat in '91. After that I have gone through so many sleds....

1988 Skidoo mx470 long track. Man that think sure kicked some ass on the hills...as if. It was a ton of fun racing down the Sturgeon river though. All the way to Ducky's.

First sled I rode was Grandpa's new 68 Olypique 335. First sled I bought was a 70 TnT 640. Even rode it at Tumbler Ridge a couple of times. That 18 inch sandpaper track didn't do too bad in the deep snow, but that old clutch set-up was pretty weak. Still bleed yellow. Thanks, Grandpa.

First rode...Dads Scorpion Stinger II. Touted as the fastest thing on the snow in '72/74?? Gotta love/hate that red metalflake paint job. Same set of plugs 'til '80 Dad was so cheap he would just clean them and blow on them and she'd run like new.
First owned 1981 Citation 377. It's sitting in the back yard right now under a snow bank. I park my Attak on top of it. It only runs in the summer.
