if you are looking for some up tempo music with a decently high bpm(needed for running) and you like house music(some call it techno) you can try some of the live sets listed on this page.

Some of the ones i really like for running are Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, and Alesso's sets. But they are all pretty decent, some are better than others.

I can tell you what's not.... Sugarland.. HOLY CRAP!!! SHUT UP!!!! I can't remember what song it is that drives me insane, but it's repetitive and redundant filled with twang... oh ya... freakin chopsticks in my eardrum time..

K but other than that I'm pretty open to most music and have a variety playing throughout the day. I'm Kinda stuck in the 90s alternative rock genre. Nirvana, Alice, Creed, Godsmack, Linkin Park, Offspring,
I do like some classical, as I was a violinist for a bazillion years. But it has to be macho not fluffy and light...
Country, I do like some, I like songs that make me have tears, and Songs that are Johnny Cash Chris Ledoux like Tough and true.

Saw Big Sugar in Edson last July, going to see them again on Nov 3 with Wide Mouth Mason. Got tickets to the Foo Fighters on 28 Oct. Went to Pearl Jam last month....second half of 2011 was good for concerts.
