they have some deep snow there right now. Definately headed back there over the holidays. We were just north of Galloway yesterday and had a great time.

Thanks Harvey for showing us around

This specific area is closed to sledders from Christmas to end of march but there is lots of areas close by that are open.

Add a half hour to your trip from calgary and you can find real snow.

nice video, mike. Good to see that you edited out the explicit verbal words when stuck. lol
on a side note, be careful out there as there was a thick ice crust about 1 1/2ft below the powder, and once you broke thru, it's bottomless sugar.

Hi. Just wondering where this is. To get there do you stay on HWY 66 to the end of the road just before the campground? Where are these other place you speak of?

Looks like great conditions! What kind of helmet cam is that? Want to pick up one in the near future.

we went 6 km north of the lumbr mill at Galloway and staged there.

Sand Hills is now closed to sleds until end of march because of a cat ski operation. There are numerous areas around (north and south) but the Sand Hills are now closed.

You need to find a local to show you around the first time. Join the Crnabrook club and there will be no shortage of guys who will help you. These guys ride pretty much every day somewhere near Cranbrook

Sugary facets on the bottom, consolidated snow up to a seriously thick rain crust. This low angle terrain to keep safe. We were skiing there recently and it was quite nice. Now it's closed, and it's time to hit other spots...

Mmmm winter.

pink floyd's album - the wall
song is - goodbye blue sky

classic 80's experience - get a bong, some cheetos, a comfortable couch, and listen to the whole album.
