Value of a powder special, a vmax 600 on a trailer?

Got a line on a couple of old sleds, look to be in really good shape but have been sitting a long time. One is a mid-90's Yammy VMax 600, the other is a late '90's Powder Special 600 twin.

Before we approach the owner, wonder what's going to be good number to aim for on something like this?

Kind of thinking $1500 for the works, $2000 tops but I really don't know what this old iron goes for.

The Vmax 600 has the old pogo stick front with steel skis. Trailer looks okay, probably worth as much as either sled.

Will be using them for work sleds. (The old old Tundra we currently use is just absolutely hurting.)

Buddy picked up an '03 Powder Special 600 that needed some work on a home built tilt deck for $1500. He sold the trailer for $500 and put about $400 into the sled which is in great shape for the most part and I wouldn't sell it for less than $2000 now as it could use a new track - just to give you a baseline idea.

$2000 for the works is pretty good if the trailer is decent and the sleds run. If all are in working order he could probably get $1500 for each of the 3 pieces.

I'm thinking similarly. Doesn't take much of a sled to get $1500 these days. $2000 for the works might even be a bit of a lowball, depending on condition.

Yup, bunch of junk on Kijiji in that price range, just for the sled. Took me a bit of looking to find a clean Formula 500 for the kids and it was 1500 for a 98.

Thanks guys, I hadn't noticed until coworker told me that mileage was pretty low on them even. And your right about kijiji... only thing comparable was a powder extreme going for nearly $2000. Amazingly hard to find old sleds that aren't complete pieces of junk for much cheaper. Told the boss that if he got'em for $3000 would probably still be a good deal. We'll see how it goes.
