I'm sure we've all seen too many guys asking the farm for a sled, while others are almost giving their machines away. Thought I'd post a scale and see how accurate/out to lunch I am. Please weigh in with your opinions. Really doing this for 2 reasons. I'm going stir crazy waiting for my 850 summit X, and I'm getting next to nothing for response on kijiji for my 14 XMX at $9500.

The list is generally to apply for 800 etec summit X 146-154 , 800 miles/year . Numbers could be adjusted for things like other models, accessories, etc.

2016 $13,500 (nobody wants to pay 14,000+ when new MSRP are 14,500, even though we all Know that out the door it's more like 17,000+
2015 $12,000
2014 $10,500
2013 $9000
2012 $7500 (non- XM)
2011 $6500
2010 $5000 (non-etec)
2009 $4500
2008 $4000
2007 $3500 (non-XP)
2006 $3000
2005 $2500
2004 $2000 (1st rev summit)
2003 $1500 (1st MXZ rev) but not the summit

I love the pre 2000 era sleds that are priced over $2500. Thats the best. If I'm anywhere close to accurate at the top end of the scale, it's just baffling to me why some people are letting 2016's go for in the 12,000 and so on. I saw some 2014's ( but not many) listed in the high 7000 range. Wow. And then the 06/07 model year people are asking 5-6000. It's all gone to hell in a hand basket hahahaha. Please let my new sled get here, I need to ride so the I can make sense of the world again.

Prices are all over the place. I sold a 2014 XMX 163 ES for well under $8000. I heard from a reliable source that new 2016 T3's can be found for $12,500 or maybe less depending on the dealer. I know of a 2015 T3 174 ES that will probably sell for your 2014 XMX asking price. It has the most kms, 4,450 of any of the T3's listed.

The economy, the low prices on new left-overs (there were new 2015's with warranty for well under $10,000), and a buyers market are all impacting used sled prices.

All I can say is hang in there and maybe you will sell it. I don't think you will get your asking price due to circumstances beyond your control.

I see your a fellow sasky and I think part of the problem too is we haven't had any snow in the past two seasons. Guys are probably a little stand offish on buying. I think if it starts snowing mid November and it looks like we might have a decent year, the interest in your sled will rise considerably.

Ya, it's a poor time to try and sell. Market is flooded with machines too cause there hasn't been good snow here for the last two years. So guys are getting rid of their machines, and those machines have very low miles. I'm just gonna keep my 14 if I can't get decent value for it. Can't hurt having a good spare (except maybe the piercing stare I'm gonna receive from my better half hahaha)

I've been watch kijiji for a couple weeks now for used there have been some sharp deals, there is a 16 174 X on there right now with I think 300km asking 10500 including a few extras. The sharp ones only last a few days. Saw a 14 Rmk pro 163 w 700km listed at 7200, gone after a few days.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Most sellers are on glue. Maybe when the glue runs out the asking prices will come down.
The glue is a special glue though.
It's called "ski-glue." Most doo owners get a tube with every visit to the Brp dealer.
Kinda like catnip for cats. Makes them all crazy and delirious, stumbling around loving skidoo.

I'd say your list is also 1500 high. I look every day all year just for kicks. I have no idea what they actually sell for but when you see the same ones over and over again you get a good idea. Tough time to sell great to buy, just need to convince the board of directors

Craziest part is that kijiji has been down all day here for me. Apparently affected by this big internet attack that's in the news.

I'll start by saying I'm a cat guy to begin with for what that's worth... I find prices on majority of the skidoo's are ridiculous. A lot of guys are asking next to new prices. Even a lot of the prices guys above are saying are good deals seem high to me. But I'm not one for having the latest and greatest rate when it comes out. I've seen a lot of old stock skidoo's listed at 10-12k so why pay anything close to that for something used and half the warranty. I'd like to replace my spare pro(not a fan) with a doo for something different but the prices are just mental. I think doo guys have some strange frame of mind that makes them think their ****s worth top dollar and it kills the market for guys like me.

As mentioned I believe you are a little high but that is just an opinion. I will show what I would expect to be closer based on the searching I did most of the summer having sold a used sled and purchased a left over, so prices will reflect that. X or SP in the newer models is tough because of the limited differences unless its a T3.

Since we purchased a new left over 2016 163 for $12,000 all in a used 2016 should come down, a lot. Why spend $13,500 on a used when you can get a new left over. Options are limited but there were quite a few 153, SP, T3 and so on. You can get a brand new SP 163 T3 with estart for $13000 before rebates which is pretty good.

These are all starting points. I also won't go older than 10 years as at that point everything is worth something but what that something is can vary. From new you can expect $2500 less the following year. A lot of people get caught up in what they paid for something retail with all taxes and fees. Even though that is what they paid that isn't going to be flipped onto the next buyer.

2016 $11500
2015 $10000
2014 $8500
2013 $7500
2012 $6000 (non- XM) plain and simple a used XP just isn't as desirable as a XM
2011 $5500
2010 $5000 (non-etec)
2009 $4500
2008 $4000
2007 $3500 (non-XP)
